Fashion Makes Change is working to heighten the voices of women in global supply chains.
A project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Fashion Makes Change, is an industry wide initiative delivering women’s empowerment and climate action in tandem. We have formed an ecosystem of collaborative action between brands, consumers, and stakeholders in the industry to drive positive change.
Our consumer-facing program invites customers at the point of sale to round-up their purchase to the nearest dollar or to make a donation to support women’s empowerment. Brands may match or donate. Funds raised directly support leading women's empowerment programming; at the onset, FMC will sponsor the Empower@Work Collaborative, a joint effort of the United Nations ILO-IFC Better Work, BSR HERproject, CARE International, Gap Inc.’s P.A.C.E. program.
